The Vatican published instructions for the forgiveness of the sins of Catholics.

Hawzah News Agency- the Vatican published instructions for the repentance and forgiveness of the sins of Catholics so that believing Christians can be freed from the punishment of the hereafter by complying with it.

The handbook comes after Pope Francis declared 2025 as a "Holy Year" for Catholics around the world during the Ascension Mass at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

A Holy Year in the Catholic Church is a year in which penitents, should they meet the conditions set by the Pope, are freed from the punishment for the sins for which the person repented.

The "Holy Year" or "Jubilee Year" event, which took place since the time of Pope Boniface VIII in 1300, has usually happened every 25 years.

According to the Pope's announcement, this event will begin next Christmas Eve (December 24, 2024) and will continue until the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6, 2026.

Christian pilgrims can celebrate the forgiveness of sins in the four major Catholic churches in Rome or the three major churches in Jerusalem.

The Vatican has predicted that 32 faithful Christians will travel to Rome in 2025 to participate in this event.

For faithful Christians who are not able to visit these churches, referring to the manual published by the Vatican and following the instructions in it will provide them with the possibility to have their sins forgiven.
